On the occasion of ‘World Lion Day 2016’ Celebration in India, Dr. Ram Ratan Nala (IFS), Deputy Conservator of Forests, Wildlife Division – Sasan-Gir (Gir National Park & Sanctuary), Gujarat Forest Department organized an Awareness Rally (Walkathon) to “Save Asiatic Lions” where in 505829 Students/Villagers/Participants from 3 districts of The Asiatic Lion Landscape took active part in Rally to “Save & Conserve Asiatic Lions” on 10th August 2016. The Aim of the campaign was to create awareness about Asiatic Lions with large number of participation of local people of The Asiatic Lion Landscape.
